Should we have a Youth Festival here?

Hey, its the Editor in the house. 1st of all, we would like to apologise because these past few wks we have been featuring so....so many Language Twisters teaching people to speak Mandarin, because the Editor is crazily madly learning his 'bahasa ibunda'.
The youths in Brunei are not short of entertainment & socialising options. In the cyberspace, we have the Facebook where you can poke...poke..poke your friends 247 as well as Twitter where you can tweet what you are currently doing in less than 140 characters. Since there is not much nightlife here, youths engage themselves with sport activities like futsal, basketball, football, etc. Some maybe joining go-karts racings, drift racing (is there any here?). But, there doesn't seem much news about youths involvement in break-dance, shuffle dance (I know quite a few that can really shuffle). In addition, there is not much youth carnivals/events being held aside from the yearly National Youth Day in August, and those occasional camps. Some of the youth festivals are listed below.
Malaysia got an event named Youth Malaysia, which is a huge event for the youths with more than 100 activities to be participated. Quoting the youth.sg website, Singapore is going to held its SHINE Youth Festival 2009 from 27th of Jun. The festival is an initiative by the National Youth Council (NYC) to celebrate the vibrancy of the local youth scene. As NYC director Koh Peng Keng put it, “We (NYC) recognise the importance of providing this national platform for our youth to showcase youth vibrancy and diversity in Singapore”.
So, the question is when are we going to have a youth festival that we can truly call ours (ala Brunei), and showcase our own Unexpected Treasures?

Some of the activities that could be included might be a b-boyz battle competition, 3-on-3 basketball, futsal, ProEvo soccer game, shuffle dance competition, other reasonable activities according to our MIB philosophy, local artists performances, etc. So, youths out there what do you think?
Till, next time, Kedewasaan Bernegara, Belia Berbakat, Negara Gemilang.
